There are SO MANY possibilities around this… especially for those of us who are full time employed and want to built our thing on the side – but don’t have the time throughout the week and like to retain some semblance of a social life. But really, ANYONE can benefit from outsourcing. Once you try it the possibilities become obvious and VERY exciting.
The irony of this issue is that it will only affect PC’s that are already infected with particular viruses. It’s disappointing that Microsoft have just yanked the patch in response though… All those who aren’t infected and would otherwise receive the benefit of the update miss out will Microsoft redesign a kernel patch to accommodate a piece of malware… go figure.
In summary: If you use Internet Explorer, either a) change browsers ASAP to Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari, or if absolutely MUST use IE then b) apply the patch posted in this blog.

Steve Jobs is on record saying that “the world is going to HTML5″. Interesting to pick up from the NY Times article the reports of sudden influxes of people requesting Vimeo (a video sharing site and competitor to Youtube) to support HTML5 encoding. Why do you think that is? I’d suggest that it’s because those who have asked for the changes either own, plan to own, or are targeting their content towards Apple Mobile users.

KLO means Keep Lights On. It’s an fairly recent term heard floating around the enterprise, it’s the process of jettisoning absolutely everything non-essential to maintain the survival of the company through extreme circumstances. My family and I aren’t in one of those situations at the moment, far from it, but if we ever where to be, what would my KLO look like?
